教会のあゆみ
ルイビル近郊での日本語でのバイブルスタディーは、1970年頃、5名ほどの方々が集う信徒のお宅での集会として始まりました。その後、ルイビルで学ぶ日本人牧師や神学生、また、地元の教会の支援を受けて、集会が続いてきました。
ルイビル日本語教会は、日本人コミュニティーを中心にして、地域に開かれた教会として、皆様を歓迎いたします。教会のシンボルである鳩は、聖書にあるように、神がどのような時にも、私たちと共におられることを表わしています。「すべて重荷を負って疲れている者は、わたしのもとに来なさい」とイエス・キリストは言われました。教会に集う方々が、生きる希望をもって、毎日を充実して歩まれることが、わたしたちの願いです。
聖書や賛美歌（ワーシップソング）は教会に用意されていますので、教会は初めという方でも、お気軽にお越し下さい。
Louisville Japanese Christian Fellowship started from a Bible study in a lady’s home almost 40 years ago. Since then we have met together in different locations to worship God. In 2010 we could promote our ministry even more as a part of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church through it‘s new church development project. In 2011 we started to hold Sunday worship services at the Christ Lutheran Church thanks to their hospitality.
Louisville JCF is a caring group of people. Our members come from variety of backgrounds including Baptist, Presbyterian, Roman Catholic,Pentecostal and independent churches. If you want to worship God in Japanese, this is the place regardless of which background you have. Our arms are open, welcoming all who come to our worship services and other events. We also have many small groups gathering on weekdays. Please contact us for further information.
